How to apply

The Course

Are you already working in the industry and want to progress and learn new skills? This course covers the essential knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in domestic plumbing and heating, including:

  • domestic hot and cold water systems
  • central heating systems
  • sanitation systems
  • environmental technologies, and
  • gas safety.

The course is ideal if you are wanting to become a plumber or domestic heating engineer. It provides all the basic domestic heating and plumbing training you need. The course is delivered in the classroom and in the workplace and will take nine to 12 months to complete.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you should already be working in the industry.

These qualifications can help you to progress in a wide range of roles within the domestic plumbing and heating sector, including:

  • heating and ventilation engineer
  • specialised craftsperson (plumber or heating engineer)
  • project development manager, and
  • senior skilled operative.

Adults can enrol for FREE

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you’re aged 19+ you’ll more than likely be eligible to enrol onto an adult course for FREE.
