How to apply

The Course

This course will give you a broad introduction to Fine Art. You will develop and strengthen core skills while preparing to study specialist subjects at a higher level or enter employment in the industry.

You learn a wide range of fine art knowledge linked to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. You will get involved in vocational activities that help you to develop transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, research and analysis, which are highly valued in higher education and in the workplace.

By the end of the course, you will have sound knowledge of the basic concepts of fine art and have developed a range of subject-specific skills. You will also be equipped with the core skills needed for a range of careers in fine art, specifically those related to management and operation.

Requires a BTEC Level 3 in Art, Design or Media; other related Level 3 qualifications; or GCE A Levels in relevant subjects such as Fine Art, Graphics, Photography, Textiles or Media.
On successful completion of the HNC in Fine Art you will be able to progress to the HND in Fine Art, which can lead to university. You will also be able to progress to employment in arts industry.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
