How to apply

The Course

This study programme is perfect for you if would like a career in the barbering industry. You will learn new skills that will enable you to work as a barber in this ever-expanding industry in our traditional barbershops.

You will develop a variety of practical, theory and employment skills, whilst gaining knowledge of the barbering industry. You will work with male clients in our commercial salons to gain experience and develop your skills.

You will have the opportunity to enter in-house and national competitions to help you to gain confidence and showcase your skills.  Visiting guest speakers from the industry work in partnership with the department to provide workshops and employability talks. So what better place to start your career than in our real working environment commercial salons, where you will be working on clients from the beginning, learning to run your own salon and learn how to manage your commercial targets.

Your study programme also gives you the opportunity to continue your studies in maths and English.
