How to apply

The Course

This City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Certificate in Beauty Therapy aims to provide you with a range of essential technical and practical skills and knowledge, which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the beauty Industry. These skills include carrying out treatments such as manicure, pedicure, hair removal, facial treatments, lash and brow treatments, application of make-up and light cured gel polish.

This qualification covers all the core skills you will need to progress to further learning and training, or to enter the world of work within the beauty therapy industries. You will study the following mandatory content:

  • Anatomy
  • Physiology
  • Principles of Practice for Beauty Therapists
  • Hair removal treatments
  • Facial and skin analysis
  • Manicure treatments
  • Pedicure treatments
  • Light cured gel polish
  • Lash and brow treatments
  • Apply make-up services
  • Spray tanning treatments

Read more
You will need a minimum of grade 4/C for both GCSE English and maths. You will also need two other GCSEs at grade 3/D or above.
Following successful completion of this qualification, you will be qualified to work in a number of employment destinations such as beauty salons, spas, hotels or health clubs etc.

Adults can enrol for FREE

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you’re aged 19+ you’ll more than likely be eligible to enrol onto an adult course for FREE.
