The hospitality industry is currently experiencing an increase in vacancies that employers are needing to fill. This course is ideal if you are an adult and wishing to gain employment or change career direction. The course include one day per week in College plus an additional flexible day to suit your circumstances.
The course will provide you with the professional cookery skills and knowledge to gain employment in the industry or progress to further study at Level 3. Our experienced chefs will help you to expand your skills to the level that the industry demands. As part of your vocational training you’ll work in the College’s kitchens and AA Rosette standard ‘Academy’ restaurants. You’ll also gain experience by providing the catering at high-profile corporate events, such as private parties, banqueting and College Gourmet evenings.
You will have the opportunity to attend workshops and training with local celebrity chefs and industry specialists.
