A HNC is equivalent to the first year of a university degree and many universities now allow advanced entry onto the corresponding second year of a degree. Some universities have direct articulations on to the second year of a bachelor’s degree programme. Students should be aware that university admission criteria are always subject to change and understand the course entry requirements for subject, year and grade before applying. After completion of the course, students can progress to the Level 5 HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, equivalent to the second year of university. After completing a BTEC HNC or Diploma, students can also progress directly into employment.

Do you already have a HNC? Then please contact us to discuss the possibility of direct entry to the HND top-up programme.
