How to apply

The Course
Become part of our new and innovative production company as a dancer, actor, technician, designer and /or events manager. On our Performing Arts HNC you are part of a working production team creating, organising, performing and managing all manner of events and productions including Musicals, Fashion Shows, Verbatim Theatre, Pantomime and innovative work. We are able to offer a unique package meaning you can leave the course with a rounded knowledge of all aspects of the entertainment and theatre industry by gaining a HNC in Performing Arts.
The course will equip you with the knowledge, understanding and skills for success in a range of positions. You will study modules including:
- The Performing Arts Industry (a research project)
- Professional Development
- Acting
- Voice and Speech for Actors
We welcome an application profile that meets one of the following:
- A BTEC Level 3 qualification in technical theatre
- A GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one GCE subject
- Other related Level 3 qualifications
- An Access to Higher Education Diploma awarded by an approved further education institution
- Related work experience as determined at interview with the Course Team Leader
- An international equivalent of the above
and:
- GCSE grades A* to C ( 9 to 4) in maths and English would be advantageous
The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
Funding for Adult Courses
You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you are 19+ there may be funding options available to cover the cost of your course.
