How to apply

The Course

The Access to HE Diploma (Medical Science) course will provide you with the underpinning skills for academic study and you will gain a Level 3 qualification. The course has a strong emphasis on both biology and chemistry and you will have the opportunity to study both equally to give a balanced view of skills to enable progression to medicine-based degree programmes.

The course also includes range of specialist units so, as well as having a good grounding in both both biology and chemistry, you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and have a balanced suite of skills to enable progression to medical or science-based degree programmes.

Ideally, you will have a Level 2 qualification in English and maths, such as GCSE or Functional Skills.
On successful completion of the programme you could progress to higher education in areas of medicine and science.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.

Funding for Adult Courses

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you are 19+ there may be funding options available to cover the cost of your course.
