How to apply

The Course

You will gain advanced skills in welding, machining and fabrication. Students will complete nine units and there will also be an online exam. This course can help prepare you for a career in the engineering industry and will help you progress onto a BTEC course.

Typically you will need to have achived a grade 4/C in GCSE English and maths or a Level 2 Engineering qualification.
On successful completion of this course, a student can progress to the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering, or into employment in the sector.

Adults can enrol for FREE

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you’re aged 19+ you’ll more than likely be eligible to enrol onto an adult course for FREE.
