How to apply

The Course

This course offers a strong introduction to the travel and tourism industry by preparing students for further study or entry-level roles. This course covers how the industry operates in the UK and in global markets and learn the importance of customer service, travel planning and sustainable tourism. Students will explore marketing and the roles and responsibilities available throughout travel agencies, tour operators and hospitality settings.

The course builds practical knowledge through real-world scenarios and improves confidence in communication and planning alongside an understanding of business functions within the travel sector. Students will gain insight into destinations and trends as well as the various career paths the industry offers.

The qualification supports university progression through UCAS points and is suited to students interested in travel, culture and working with people. With strong job prospects and international demand, this course provides a smart step into a global industry. Assessment will be through coursework and project-based tasks that reflect real industry industry situations.

Typically you will need 4 GCSEs at grade 4/C, including a 4/3 (C/D) combination for maths and English.
After completion of the Level 3, you can progress to a Higher Education course at university, enter employment in a relevant industry or an apprenticeship. You could even enter self-employment through freelance and tourism services. This qualification opens the doors to a global industry.
