Topics include child development, safeguarding and supporting activities and purposeful play and educational programmes.
The course is suitable for students who are working/volunteering in an early years setting, with children aged 0-5 years. Settings may include day nurseries, nursery schools, child minders, pre-school and children’s centres.
The course requires the student to attend a placement setting (either in a voluntary or employed capacity) for a minimum of one day per week.
