The Course

This course is perfect for students wanting to continue their education through applied learning. It provides a wide-ranging study of the engineering sector and is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in engineering. In addition to the skills, knowledge and techniques that underpin the study of the sector, the course gives you experience of the breadth and depth of the sector that will prepare you for employment, progression within employment or further study.

This part-time course is designed to offer you greater flexibility in how assessments and study are completed. This enables you to study a university-level course outside of the conventional College timesand doesn’t restrict you from your own schedule to allow you to focus on your education.

Mandatory units include:

• Engineering Design
• Engineering Maths
• Engineering Science
• Managing a Professional Engineering Project
• Mechanical Principles
• Fundamentals of Thermodynamics and Heat Engines

You will also study four optional units.
