During this bricklaying course you will lay mortar beds, bricks and blocks several times, resulting in you being able to lay them correctly, safely and to a good standard that will enable you to carry out small bricklaying tasks. Areas covered on the course may include: · A basic introduction to the tools and their uses · Health and safety within the industry · Learn brick bond types and usage · Understand block types and uses · Build and understand building corners · Mixing mortars and additives · Lay mortar beds for bricks and blocks · Understand brick types and uses · Types of jointing and finishing · Plumb, level and range This course is an opportunity to learn some basic techniques to support with DIY projects or could be an introduction into further study.
The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
