Car DIY: Under Bonnet Checks & Pre MOT – This 2 week program will give the insight into how to check your vehicle over to prevent expensive repairs. Whether you’ve just passed your test, or don’t want to neglect your new car, this short course will give you an overview of vehicle inspections to keep you safe on the road.
Car DIY: Navigating a Flat Tyre & How to Check Brakes – If you wouldn’t know how to navigate a flay tyre on the side of the road, or how to check if your brakes need changing, this program can help. A two week program focused on the basics, showing you how to swap your wheel for a spare, and check your brakes to make sure you can still come to a stop when needed.
Car DIY: Changing Your Oil & Spark Plugs – Ready to start maintaining your own car? Think a career in Car Mechanics might by for you but don’t know where to start? This 2 week course can give you the basic overview and skills to begin maintaining your own vehicle.
The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.

Do I pay this fee?
Higher Education courses such as HNCs and HNDs can be self-funded through a payment plan. However, for eligible students, a tuition fee loan can fund your course through Student Finance England and you may be eligible for a maintenance loan to support your education.
Please note, you should apply for your loan before the course starts. You only commit to the loan once you begin attending the course.
