The Course

This is a great course for you if you are looking to expand your knowledge and skills in working with electric/hybrid vehicles. If you are already working in the industry, it could help you advance in your current role. It can also provide useful skills and knowledge for those looking for employment in the industy.

You will introduced to the safe working practices associated with this specialised industry sector and learn how to work safely around electric/hybrid vehicles.

The course covers the following subjects:

  • The types of electric/hybrid vehicles available
  • The hazards associated with motor vehicle high energy electrical systems
  • Working safely around electric/hybrid vehicles including charging

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
You could progress to one of our Level 2 Motor Vehicle programmes or study on one of our Level 1 Car Maintenance courses.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.

There is funding available for eligible students.

Do I pay this fee?

Higher Education courses such as HNCs and HNDs can be self-funded through a payment plan. However, for eligible students, a tuition fee loan can fund your course through Student Finance England and you may be eligible for a maintenance loan to support your education.

Please note, you should apply for your loan before the course starts. You only commit to the loan once you begin attending the course.
