Further Maths A Level can be studied alongside A Level Maths. You can take Further Maths as a fourth A Level, as an AS Level during either year of your studies, or as a full A Level. It is ideal for students who have a strong aptitude for mathematics and enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems. Further Maths provides excellent preparation for degree courses with a high mathematical content, including engineering, physics, economics, accountancy and mathematics. Many universities also recommend or require Further Maths for entry onto mathematics-related degree courses.

Learning extends beyond the classroom through opportunities to visit exhibitions and employers, allowing you to explore how Further Maths is applied in a range of industries. You will also be encouraged to take part in the UK Maths Challenge, developing your mathematical skills further while testing yourself against students from across the UK.
The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.

Do I pay this fee?
Higher Education courses such as HNCs and HNDs can be self-funded through a payment plan. However, for eligible students, a tuition fee loan can fund your course through Student Finance England and you may be eligible for a maintenance loan to support your education.
Please note, you should apply for your loan before the course starts. You only commit to the loan once you begin attending the course.
