The Course
This course has been developed for achievement in a real workplace
environment, which means you need to be employed to undertake this
qualification. This qualification enables you to demonstrate and recognise your
skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real
workplace when carrying out the role of a bricklayer.
You will study the following mandatory units:
- Confirming the occupational method of work in the workplace
- Confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area in
the workplace
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Developing and maintaining good occupational working relationships in the
workplace
- Erecting masonry cladding in the workplace
- Erecting masonry to form architechtural aand decorative structures in the
workplace
- Setting out to form masonry structures in the workplace
You will also achieve a minimum of one of the following optional units:
- Erecting thin joint masonry structures in the workplace
- Installing and forming specialist masontry elements in the workplace
- Installing drainage in the workplace
- Repairing and maintaining masonry structures in the
workplace
