The Course

Steady Steps to English is a tailored learning course designed to help adults build confidence in reading, writing, speaking and listening. You’ll explore how English is used in everyday life and develop practical communication skills to support work, study and personal goals.

The course provides a friendly and supportive introduction to essential English skills, making it an ideal first step for those looking to return to education or progress towards a recognised qualification.

You can progress onto a Functional Skills English course or a GCSE English qualification.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.

Funding for Adult Courses

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you are 19+ there may be funding options available to cover the cost of your course.
