Construction and the Built Environment

The construction industry in the UK is one of the largest in the country’s economy, employing 3.1 million people, or more than 9 percent of the population. That’s why Cheshire College offers a diverse, broad range of different courses, so you will be able to build your future in the best way that suits you.

Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to our state-of-the-art construction facilities consisting of industry standard equipment and bespoke workshops for training in areas such as plumbing, boiler installations, electrical installations, carpentry and joinery.

Where you could go next

Our students have progressed onto employment within the industry in roles such as a bricklayer, carpenter, electrical installer, joiner and plumber. Others have advanced onto study higher-level courses in areas such as architecture, surveying and engineering.

FUNDING FOR ADULT COURSES

If you are aged 19+ we can help you upskill and invest in your future with one of our adult courses.

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you are 19+ there may be funding options available to cover the cost of your course.
