If you are looking to start a career in plumbing, this course will help you develop the basic practical skills and knowledge needed to take your first steps into the industry. You will be introduced to essential plumbing techniques while building the confidence and skills needed to progress to a Level 2 Plumbing course.
Topics include:
Throughout the course, you will gain hands-on experience and develop an understanding of the basic techniques used within the plumbing industry. You will learn how to work safely and effectively while developing your practical ability through a range of activities.
Alongside your practical skills, you will develop your teamworking and health and safety knowledge. These are important skills for working successfully with others on-site and are qualities that employers look for when recruiting within the construction and plumbing industries.
By the end of the course, you will have developed a foundation of plumbing knowledge and practical skills, preparing you to progress to the Level 2 Plumbing course and continue working towards a career in the industry.
The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.

Do I pay this fee?
Higher Education courses such as HNCs and HNDs can be self-funded through a payment plan. However, for eligible students, a tuition fee loan can fund your course through Student Finance England and you may be eligible for a maintenance loan to support your education.
Please note, you should apply for your loan before the course starts. You only commit to the loan once you begin attending the course.
