This Level 2 Welding course builds on the skills and knowledge gained at Level 1, helping you develop your practical welding techniques and prepare for further study or a career within engineering and fabrication.
Topics include:
The course provides hands-on experience using MIG, MMA or TIG welding methods, allowing you to develop greater accuracy, control and confidence in your chosen welding process. Practical workshop activities will help strengthen the techniques developed at Level 1 while introducing more advanced welding tasks.
Safe working practices are an important part of the course, including the correct use of welding equipment and an understanding of the precautions needed when working in an engineering environment.
By the end of the course, you will have developed your practical welding ability and a stronger understanding of welding processes, preparing you to progress to further study or pursue opportunities within the engineering, fabrication and welding industries.
The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.

Do I pay this fee?
Higher Education courses such as HNCs and HNDs can be self-funded through a payment plan. However, for eligible students, a tuition fee loan can fund your course through Student Finance England and you may be eligible for a maintenance loan to support your education.
Please note, you should apply for your loan before the course starts. You only commit to the loan once you begin attending the course.
