THE NEWS AT CHESHIRE COLLEGE:

Cheshire College to Host Free Community Fun Day Across All Campuses

May 5, 2026

Cheshire College – South & West is set to welcome families and residents from across the region to its highly anticipated Community Fun Day on Saturday, 9 May 2026, from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Taking place simultaneously across all three campuses in Chester, Crewe and Ellesmere Port, the event is free to attend and will offer a range of activities for visitors of all ages.

Visitors can enjoy a packed programme of live performances, interactive games, arts and crafts workshops, and community stalls. A variety of food and refreshments will also be available, prepared by the College’s talented Hospitality students and staff.

The event will showcase the work of local charities, volunteer groups and small businesses, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with organisations operating across Cheshire.

“With strong links to the communities it serves, the College uses events like this to build on those connections outside the classroom. The Community Fun Day brings together residents and local organisations from across Cheshire, and visitors will be welcomed onto the campuses to spend time with us, take part in activities, and connect with local charities, organisations and community groups.”

Jasbir Dhesi OBE, Principal and CEO, Cheshire College – South & West

A key feature of the event at the Crewe campus will be the Crewe Out Loud Arts Festival, featuring performances and visual art from local schools. Pupils from across Crewe will take part in activities including music, dance, drama and visual arts throughout the day.

Visitors can also learn more about studying at Cheshire College. Whether school leavers are exploring next steps or adults looking to gain new skills, retrain, or progress their careers, staff will be available across all campuses to provide information, answer questions, and offer guidance on the wide range of courses available.

The Community Fun Day is free to attend and open to all, with no booking required. Visitors can attend their nearest campus and take part in activities throughout the day.
