Cheshire College – South & West students are celebrating outstanding A Level, BTEC and T Level results today, with students securing places at leading universities, progressing onto apprenticeships and taking the next step towards successful careers.
The College is celebrating another successful year of A Level results, with 2026 marking the third consecutive year of an increased high-grade profile across its A Level subjects. An impressive 15 A Level subjects achieved a 100% pass rate, demonstrating the outstanding achievements of students across diverse subjects and reflecting the dedication and hard work of both students and staff.
Among the highest-performing A Level subjects were Law, Mathematics, English Language and Psychology with students achieving high grades and securing exciting next steps into higher education, apprenticeships, employment and further study. The College is also celebrating continued excellent performance across its creative A Levels, with students achieving high grades across a range of arts-based subjects.
BTEC students are celebrating today, with an impressive 99% successfully achieving their qualification. Particularly strong performances in Engineering and Protective Services demonstrate the breadth and quality of education and training available at Cheshire College.
T Level students also celebrated strong results, with an overall pass rate of 94.2% and five courses achieving a 100% pass rate. T Levels combine classroom learning with a substantial 45-day industry-placement, enabling students to apply their technical knowledge in the workplace.
This year’s results reflect the hard work, resilience and commitment shown by students across academic, technical and vocational programmes, with strong performances across a wide range of course areas.
Students will now progress to universities across the UK, higher and degree apprenticeships, and skilled employment. Many will continue their learning and develop careers in areas such as healthcare, engineering, digital, education, business and the creative industries.

Across the College’s campuses, students are sharing their achievements with friends, family and staff as they look ahead to the next stage of their education or career.
Among those celebrating was Rachel McGarry who achieved A*, A*, A*, in A Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry, and will go on to study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Cambridge.
She said: “It hasn’t really sunk in yet. I’m heading off to the University of Cambridge to study Veterinary Medicine for the next 6 years. I’ve loved every minute of College. The teachers are so supportive, and I will remember them for the rest of my life.”
Another student, Felix Gorman, achieved D* D* D* in Creative Media Practice and is progressing to Staffordshire University to study Games Art.
They said: “I’m really happy with my results, I got the highest grade that I could achieve which I’m really proud of. The College is so welcoming and there are a lot of very talented teachers here.”
Also celebrating their success today is Amy, who studied A Levels in English Language, Psychology and Media Studies, and is going on to do an Early Years apprenticeship in a nursery.
She said: “It’s been incredible and I have made friends for life. I didn’t think I would pass, and I have, so I’m over the moon.”
