Cheshire College Celebrates Excellence at Crewe Campus Student Awards

June 19, 2026

Students from Cheshire College – South & West’s Crewe campus were recognised for their achievements at the College’s annual Student Awards, celebrating the dedication, progress and success of learners across a wide range of subject areas.

The evening brought together students, staff, families, and partners to recognise those who have excelled throughout the academic year.

Awards were presented across a wide range of subject areas, including Engineering, Performing Arts, Health and Social Care, Sport, Business, Construction, and more. Each award highlighted more than academic success, celebrating resilience, growth, creativity and contribution to the College community.

Jasbir Dhesi OBE, Principal and CEO of Cheshire College, said:

“The Student Awards are a celebration of the hard work, determination and achievements of our students, and an opportunity to recognise the significant progress they have made throughout their time at College.”

“This year’s award winners have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their studies, embraced new opportunities and shown the skills, resilience and ambition that employers and universities value. They are excellent ambassadors for both the College and the town of Crewe.”

Hair, Beauty and Barbering Student of the Year winner, Asier Robles, said:

“It’s been really good, and it’s a feeling I‘ve never felt before. It is my first time winning something like this, and i am really grateful to the College.”

English student of the year, Rohaini Abujarad, commented:

“I am so happy and excited. I had no idea that I was up for winning, but I think I have gone through a lot, so I deserve it. The College is wonderful, and it has given me so many opportunities to show what I can do.”

The awards form part of Cheshire College’s annual programme of celebrations, recognising student achievement across its campuses and highlighting the success of students preparing for careers, apprenticeships, higher education and industry.
