A significant equipment donation from global biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has been delivered to Cheshire College – South & West with the support of Boughey Logistics, enhancing the College’s ability to deliver high-quality technical and vocational training for students across the region.
The donation includes 5 tonnes of specialist equipment, such as packaging conveyor belt systems, vacuum testers, pouch sealers, instrumentation, mobile platforms and mechanical lifting equipment. In addition, office furniture, lockers and work benches were also donated. The resources will be used to support practical, industry-focused training, helping students develop skills aligned with modern workplace practices.
The equipment was transported and delivered to Cheshire College’s campuses by logistics partner Boughey Logistics, as a goodwill contribution, supporting the safe and efficient movement of the donation. The collaboration reflects Boughey Logistics continued commitment to supporting skills development and education across the region.
AstraZeneca’s donation reflects its commitment to sustainable practices through the reuse of specialist equipment, extending its lifecycle and helping to reduce waste. The equipment will provide students with access to industry-standard machinery, strengthening links between education and real-world industrial environments.
Representatives from Cheshire College welcomed the donation as a valuable contribution to the continued development of its industry standard and state of the art facilities.
