Enrolment is the final step in joining your course – it’s where you officially become a student at Cheshire College!
It’s also a great chance to make sure everything is in place for September, meet key staff, and feel fully prepared for your first day.
When should I arrive?
It’s a good idea to arrive on Campus around 10 minutes before your enrolment time, so you’re ready come in and get started. If you are running late, don’t worry! Just head inside when you arrive and we’ll make sure that you’re still seen on the same day. There is parking available on site, and all Campuses are accessible via public transport.
How long will it take?
Enrolment usually takes around 1 – 2 hours, but this can vary depending on how busy the Campus is and which support teams you choose to speak to. Staff members will be on hand throughout to keep everything running as smoothly and quickly as possible.
What will happen when I arrive?
You’ll be greeted by staff members at the entrance and guided through each step of the enrolment process, so you always know where to go next.
What are the steps?
During enrolment, you will:
- Check your enrolment form and make sure that all personal details are correct (e.g. chosen course, age, name, address)
- Speak to staff members from your chosen subject area* to confirm your place or explore different options if needed (e.g. a different level or course)
- Speak to our Maths & English team if you need to retake your GCSE exam(s)
- Optional: Speak to our Learning Support, Careers, or Financial Support Teams for extra advice and guidance
- Have your student ID photo taken, so this can be added to your ID card
- Have your enrolment form checked to make sure we have all the details we need to process your enrolment
- Receive a postcard confirming your enrolment and key details about your first day
*You will need to speak to staff from multiple subject areas if enrolling on A Level courses at Crewe Campus.
Do I need to bring anything?
Yes — please bring any documents requested in your enrolment invite, usually including exam results or other evidence needed to confirm your place.
Can I bring a parent or carer?
Of course! Many students bring a parent or carer for support — they’re very welcome to attend enrolment with you.
