THE NEWS AT CHESHIRE COLLEGE:

Cheshire College Recognised for Outstanding Prospectus at College Marketing Network Awards

February 5, 2025

Cheshire College is pleased to announce that its 2023-2024 prospectus has received a prestigious ‘Highly Commended’ accolade in the Best Prospectus category at the College Marketing Network FE First Marketing Awards.

The event, held on Monday, January 27th  2025 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, in Birmingham, brought together marketing professionals from colleges and sixth forms across the UK to celebrate excellence in further education marketing.

The prospectus was praised for effectively capturing the essence of student life, academic excellence, and career opportunities available at the College, resonating deeply with prospective students and families.

Marketing and Recruitment Manager, Lynsey Shearsmith shared her pride in the achievement: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition. The prospectus was a labour of love for our team, and we are incredibly proud of the final result. The award is a testament to the hard work and creativity of everyone involved.”

The College’s marketing team worked closely with both students and staff to ensure the prospectus accurately represented the wide range of courses, student experiences, and opportunities available at Cheshire College. Combining impactful imagery, student testimonials, and clear information, the prospectus became an invaluable tool in the college’s recruitment strategy for the year.

Designed entirely in-house with a focus on sustainability and engagement, the slim, interactive guide reduces waste and invites students to document their journey with write-on sections.

The prospectus played a significant role in boosting recruitment efforts for the 2023-2024 academic year, contributing to a 4% increase in school liaison activities and an 8% rise in enrolments. Its interactive, hands-on approach has strengthened engagement with prospective students, helping Cheshire College maintain its position as a leader in school leaver recruitment.

The success of the 2023-2024 prospectus is just one example of how the College is enhancing its offerings and ensuring it remains a top choice for students across the region.

Looking ahead, the marketing team is already planning new strategies to build on this success, aiming to further elevate the College’s presence and appeal to a diverse range of prospective students. For more information visit www.ccsw.ac.uk
