Motor Vehicle

In an industry which employs around 800,000 people, there is increased need for highly-trained technicians who have the skills to service and repair vehicles that are becoming ever more sophisticated and sustainable.

Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to our impressive motor vehicle workshop; a state-of-the-art facility equipped with industry-standard motor vehicle ramps and a plug-in hybrid electrical vehicle (PHEV) bay. You’ll be able to learn and train with the equipment and resources you would expect to find in a commercial garage.

Cheshire College is proud to have strong links with employers such as Bentley Motors, Body Perfect and Vauxhall Motors, which students will benefit from immensely in their learning and development.

Where you could go next

Our Motor Vehicle students have progressed onto employment within the industry in roles such as a motor vehicle technician, motor vehicle breakdown engineer, garage mechanic, body repair technician or vehicle tester. Others have advanced to further studies to gain additional qualifications and skills in this area.
