Whether it is in the theatre, music or entertainment sectors, performing arts in the UK is a thriving industry offering many exciting career opportunities.
Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to our recording and sequencing studios and a fully equipped theatre with control desks, lighting, and staging equipment. These resources and the experience from your lecturers are designed to develop your skills whilst also preparing you for your next starring role. Your lecturers will also support you with audition techniques, whilst also sharing their connections within the industry for potential job opportunities.
Not only that, but you’ll also have the opportunity to harness your stagecraft at events inside and outside of Cheshire College, helping you build your experience and increase your employability.
Our Performing Arts, Music and Technical Theatre students have progressed onto employment within the industry in roles as actors, performers, singers, musicians, entertainers or working behind the scenes in technical, management and production roles. Others have advanced onto prestigious performing arts schools to further their skillset in their chosen area.
“I chose Cheshire College as I knew it would help me develop my confidence and make new friends. I’d head about the course from a previous student and I wanted to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes during concerts. One of the things I like most about my course is how everyone works together as a team to put on a show and create some amazing events for other people to enjoy. I would advise new students to always take any opportunity given to you during your studies. Always put 100% effort into everything you do, as the outcome is always rewarding.”
When exploring the courses we have available, you may see a fee attached but you’re more than likely to be eligible for a fully-funded enrolment!
