Cheshire College Applauds Staff at Biggest Awards Celebration Yet

Cheshire College South & West has raised the bar for staff recognition and celebration with its most prestigious Staff Awards to date, honouring the exceptional contributions of colleagues across all its Ellesmere Port, Chester and Crewe Campuses.

Held over two days, the Staff Awards brought together teams from across teaching, support and operations to celebrate people who make the College an outstanding place to work and learn.

The awards showcased excellence in every area of the College, shining a spotlight on the efforts of staff who go above and beyond in their roles.

The event followed a landmark moment for the College, which earlier this academic year received a glowing Ofsted report, earning a ‘Good’ rating across all areas and the highest possible judgement of ‘strong contribution to skills.’ The awards served as a powerful reminder of the people behind that success—the staff who support students and strengthen the College’s role in the region.

Winners were recognised across a variety of categories, including Outstanding Contribution, Skills Champion, Mentorship, and Inclusivity Advocate—highlighting the breadth of talent and dedication across the College community.

Jasbir Dhesi OBE, Principal and CEO of Cheshire College South & West, expressed his pride in the College community:

“This year’s Staff Awards were the biggest we have ever held. They were a chance to shine a light on the incredible people who make this College what it is”

“Coming after our successful Ofsted inspection, earlier this academic year, this was the perfect moment to say thank you and to celebrate the talent and teamwork that drives everything we do.”

The College extends its congratulations to all award winners and nominees, and thanks every member of staff for their continued dedication and impact.
