The Academy Restaurant at our Crewe Campus gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional restaurant environment inspired by Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Alongside a fully equipped industry-standard kitchen and deli, the award-winning restaurant holds several industry accreditations, including a Highly Commended College Rosette from AA Hotel Services and a Gold Accreditation and Centre of Excellence for Food & Beverage Service from People 1st.

Students also have the opportunity to work alongside local businesses and well-known chefs through a range of events held throughout the year. From themed dining evenings to food festivals and gourmet experiences, The Academy helps students develop valuable industry skills while working in a realistic hospitality environment. The restaurant was also proudly recognised as the UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year 2023.

Academy West at our Ellesmere Port Campus gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional fine dining environment. Alongside a fully equipped industry-standard kitchen and deli, the award-winning restaurant holds several industry accreditations, including a Highly Commended College Rosette from AA Hotel Services and a Gold Accreditation and Centre of Excellence for Food & Beverage Service from People 1st.

Students also have the opportunity to work alongside businesses and respected chefs from across the region through a variety of professional events and collaborations. These experiences have included events at venues such as Chester Cathedral, Chester Town Hall, and The Wine School of Cheshire, helping students develop valuable hospitality and catering skills in realistic industry environments.

Studying Hospitality and Catering can lead to a wide range of exciting career opportunities within the food and hospitality industry. You could progress into roles such as chef, pastry chef, restaurant supervisor, barista, front of house assistant, hospitality assistant, or event catering staff, while developing practical skills and experience in professional kitchen and restaurant environments. With hands-on learning and industry-focused experience, you will build the confidence and knowledge needed for your next step in the sector.
