Level 4 - Sport Massage Therapy

Course Summary

The aim of the Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to treat and/or seek to correct common patterns of dysfunction and suitable pre-diagnosed injuries.

Entry Requirements
You should have achieved a VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Sports Massage and be willing to attend sessions outside of your set course days to meet the requirements of 100 hours massage treatments. Some assessments will take place in the College and others out in field of events. If you have completed your Level 3 Sports Massage in the last 2 years then 50 hours of massage can be carried over to the level 4 course. Minimum age: 18 years old

Next Steps
This course provides an excellent foundation for anyone wishing to study further for a career in Sports Therapy or Physiotherapy or the addition of other therapies such as Reflexology and Indian Head Massage.

Fees (if shown) are full fees (reduced fees may be available for some courses depending on your circumstances).
Your course may be FREE if you are:
  • Aged 19+ (subject to eligibility) and earning less than £17,374.50 per year (£1,447 per month) studying on Level 1 or Level 2 courses*
  • Aged 16-18 years
  • Aged 19-23 years and studying for your first full Level 2 or full Level 3 qualification

  • * from 1 April 2022 earnings limit is increased to £18,525 per year (£1,543 per month)
Depending on the cost of your course, you could pay your course fees in instalments to spread the cost over the duration of the course.
