Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible for free transport?
All full-time students aged 16–18 who live more than 1 mile from their Campus are eligible for free transport. You can also apply later in the year if you move or your circumstances change!
Do I need to pay anything?
No. Eligible students can travel for free all year without needing to pay anything for their bus pass.
What transport options are available?
Crewe Campus students can use our College Coach services. Ellesmere Port and Chester students can use public transport, with costs covered by the College or supported via County Council schemes.
When will I collect my bus pass?
You can collect your bus pass from the Student Hub on Campus during your first week at College. If your pass is not ready or you applied late, bus drivers will accept Cheshire College ID cards for the first few weeks of term.
What if I live at more than one address?
No problem! If you split your time between two or more addresses (for example, if your parents/carers are separated), just use the address where you spend most of your time when filling out your application.
What if I don’t have my student ID number yet?
Please email admissions@ccsw.ac.uk or transport@ccsw.ac.uk, and we’ll help you find it.
Can I cycle or use an electric car?
Yes! We have secure bike storage, cycle racks, and on-site electric car charging for eco-friendly travel.
Where can I see timetables and routes?
All routes and timetables are available on the College website: Financial Support page.
