IT skills are required by almost all UK businesses and workplaces. That’s why gaining digital skills can open many doors to careers across a wide range of sectors.
Our Digital courses will enable you to become competent in using a variety of software packages, giving you the skills to work in roles such as an Office Assistant, Secretary, Personal Assistant, and Administrative Assistant.
Are you a complete IT novice? Our beginners’ course helps you to get online safely and start developing new skills at your own pace.
Upon successful completion, this course will provide you with a qualification recognised throughout Europe. The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) qualifications enable people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills and, in particular, using Microsoft Office applications. The key aims of the qualification are to raise your level of competency in IT skills, and to improve your productivity at home and work whilst gaining an industry-recognised qualification. You will be taught in the classroom by a tutor, and assessed by sitting an online exam after each module. To achieve a full ECDL qualification you will need to complete both Module 1 and Module 2. Knowledge of using a Windows PC is important to undertake this course, but we will support you in getting started.
This course builds on basic knowledge, and helps to improve learners’ understanding of a variety of software packages. The course includes Word Processing (Module 3), Spreadsheets (Module 4) and Presentations (Module 6) The course is a Level 2 ITQ Award.
