Our students are the workforce of tomorrow and they want to progress quickly and successfully into work. They want to be given the opportunity to hone their skills, learn from real employers and prepare for their futures. Work experience is a chance for learners to gain the skills employers want, gain experience in the sector they’re interested in and helps to bridge the gap between education and employment. This means giving students an opportunity to explore a real working environment.
At Cheshire College – South & West our students are provided with a range of opportunities in simulated working environments to develop their skills but the final step is gaining valuable work experience. We are fortunate to work with hundreds of great employers in a range of sectors, who open their doors to our students and offer them invaluable placements and work experience.
We are always open to new ways of doing things and to adapting how we work, to provide our students with work experience in ways that also work for you, the employer. Whatever your sector, however big or small you are, we need you to open your doors to our students, to give them real work experience, and be a part of creating the workforce of tomorrow.
