Job Title: Development Tutors

Job Description:

Salary: £20 per hour

Contract Type: Fixed Term until June 2021                     

Hours: Flexible

Location: Crewe Campus, Ellesmere Port Campus, Chester Campus (remote working is available).

We are looking for a number of Development Tutors to deliver additional tuition to learners who may need support catching up with learning and/or learners resitting their qualifications, in Maths & English, Art, Media, Performing Arts, Business, Science and IT, Construction and Health & Social Care.

This role is open to experienced, new qualified or aspiring teachers. Hours of delivery can be flexible and can be planned around your current commitments. Whilst specialist knowledge of one or more of these subjects and the curriculum is desirable it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver one to one and/or small group sessions on exam skills and revision techniques to an assigned caseload of learners.

Key Person Specification Requirements:

  • PGCE or working towards
  • Knowledge and understanding of exam and assessments
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment
  • An understanding of how to deliver learning online
