Our annual Apprenticeship Awards will be taking place at the Ellesmere Port Campus on the evening of Tuesday 5 March.
This annual ceremony celebrates and showcases the achievements of our Apprentices who have exceeded expectations and made a significant contribution to their workplaces.
With more than 1000 apprentices, Cheshire College – South & West has become one of the most popular apprenticeship providers in Cheshire.
Now in the twelfth year, the awards are bigger and better than ever before. More than 150 guests are set to attend the event, with 34 awards up for grabs, including notable awards such as Degree Apprentice and STEAM Apprentice of the Year, alongside prizes for specific industry sectors.
The awards pay tribute to apprentices most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work, distinguishing them from others and proving them worthy of recognition.
We are honoured to be welcoming Andrew Barton as our guest speaker. Andrew is the Managing Director at Brownlow Furniture, a bespoke furniture manufacturer based in Great Barrow, Chester. Andrew is a keen advocate of Apprenticeships and believes Apprentices provide the energy and heart beat that drives his business forward.
The awards also provide an opportunity to say thank you to colleagues and employers involved in the delivery of the Colleges apprenticeship provision, an area of the College that continues to go from strength to strength.
Maria Davison, Director of Business Development and Apprenticeships, commented: ‘’Our Awards evenings are a great opportunity to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our apprentices.
‘’We are immensely proud of the high-quality Apprenticeship programmes that we deliver, that make a valuable contribution to both our Apprentices’ careers and the employers we work with.’’
The event is sponsored by local employers, who have seen their own apprentices grow and develop within their organisations; AO, SP Energy Network and South Cheshire Chamber.
To acknowledge the excellent achievements of our internal apprentices we are holding an Apprentice Development Workshop, in conjunction with the Awards Evening. The day will start with a networking lunch, followed by a range of team building activities.
