Meet the T Level Team

We’re so excited for our all-new T Level courses to start in September and can’t wait for our learners to be able to get stuck in. 

Over the past couple of months our Tutors have been busy getting everything ready for your arrival and are really looking forward to working with you to enhance your knowledge and skills, preparing you for the next step in your career whether you plan to go straight into employment, go on to further study or complete a Higher Apprenticeship.  

We caught up with them to ask those all important questions we know you’ve been eager to find out. So, without further ado, it’s time to meet some of the team!  

Construction

Meet Ashraf, a Lecturer in Electrical Installation at our Ellesmere Port and Crewe Campuses. With over 20 years’ experience working as an Electrician, Ashraf runs his own business alongside lecturing, which allows him to keep up-to-date with the latest goings on in the industry and feed this back to learners. 

What can learners expect when joining your T Level course?
“Our team of experts, many of whom still work in industry, will provide you with all the information you need to help you secure employment or go on to further education. We use different methods of teaching to make sure you have the best learning experience, so expect lots of practical learning alongside theory.” 

What state-of-the-art equipment will be used? 
“You will have access to the very latest, top-of-the-range industry-standard equipment that you would expect to find when out on jobs.” 

What would be your top tip for learners joining your T Level course in September? 
“My advice would be to take ownership of your qualification. You’re chasing your own dream, so chase it and make it work for you. Our job is to help turn your dream into reality.”  


Digital

This is Pami, a Lecturer in Computing & IT at our Ellesmere Port Campus. Specialising in digital graphics, Pami has extensive experience within the creative industry and has worked within education for over 19 years.  

What can learners expect when joining your T Level course? 
“With industry placements being the backbone of our T Level qualification, the experience you gain putting into practice what you have learned in the classroom with me will be priceless. Combining classroom theory and practical learning, you will be able to draw on your knowledge and skills.” 

What state-of-the-art equipment will be used? 
“You will have access to the most up-to-date industry-standard equipment, in terms of both hardware and software. Think virtual reality headsets, robotics and 3D printers!” 

What would be your top tip for learners joining your T Level course in September? 
“Look into online resources that give you useful hints and tips for networking and building relationships.” 


Education & Childcare

Sian joined Cheshire College as a Lecturer in Health & Social Care in April 2019, having worked in a range of industry settings, from supporting families to engaging with services and writing material on health and wellbeing.  

What can learners expect when joining your T Level course? 
“Expect to be challenged on a daily basis! You’ll meet like-minded people and through creative and dynamic teaching, in a supportive environment, you’ll have the opportunity to learn subject-specific knowledge in the specialism you have selected.”

What state-of-the-art equipment will be used? 
“You’ll have access to a range of industry-standard technology which reflects the professional requirements of the course as well as automation which will help simulate medical procedures!” 

What would be your top tip for learners joining your T Level course in September? 
“Do some research on your chosen profession so you have a clear focus on what you want to achieve and why. Then, create a goal board and get motivated!” 


Health & Science

Meet Lucy, a Chemistry Lecturer at our Crewe Campus who has worked at Cheshire College for four years teaching on our A Level and Applied Science courses.  

What can learners expect when joining your T Level course? 
“You’ll study a range of science topics as part of your T Level course, covering Chemistry, Biology and Physics and get the opportunity to develop your research and project skills.”

“Our fantastic science labs boast amazing equipment that will enable you to improve your practical skills.”

“Recap your GCSE science before joining in September and come along ready to enjoy your time at College!”
