James Eagney

Assistant Principal (Quality, Foundation English & Maths)

James has worked at the College since 2011. Following a short break to work in Australia, he was appointed as a Lecturer of A-level and GCSE English. He has held a range of other positions including Head of English, Assistant Director and Director.

His educational background is in English and Drama, with an undergraduate in the field of Literature and Acting. He is passionate about Further Education and firmly believes the sector has a significant impact on the lives and future chances of young people.

James is now responsible for the Quality of teaching, learning and assessment across the College, as well as the cross-college provision of Foundation English and Maths. His vision is to ensure that he works with all colleagues and learners to become outstanding.
