This course offers a practical introduction to basic nail services for those interested in developing skills for personal use or as a first step into the nail industry. Students will cover essential techniques and knowledge including nail shapes, common nail conditions, and hygiene standards required for safe practice. The course includes hands-on training in basic manicure procedures such as nail preparation, filing, cuticle work, and polish application. Students will also explore simple nail art techniques including dotting, marbling, and freehand design. An introduction to gel polish products is provided, along with the opportunity to prepare and carry out a gel polish treatment on the hands. This is a skills-based course designed to build confidence in professional nail techniques. No kit is required, although students are expected to wear plain black or a tunic as professional attire. It is recommended that students bring their own nail art brushes and manicure tools.
