How to apply

The Course

This course is part of our Employability Pathway and focuses on developing skills and experience in the hospitality and catering industry. This course combines experience of our industry kitchens along with a range of health and safety, hygiene in the kitchen and a range of cooking techniques. Front of house units are also covered whilst allowing time for learners to continue with their English and maths. Learners gain valuable work experience through a day per week sent in the onsite Academy restaurant. External placements are also encouraged. When you apply to the College our expert team will discuss the different pathways with you and conduct a starting point diagnostic assessment so you can be enrolled on the right level and course for you. You may be able to start on the Employability Pathway or you may be advised to begin with the Living Independently Pathway. Whatever your starting point we will help you to find the right course for you. On successful completion of this course, you may be able to progress to the Level 1- Hospitality.
