Cheshire’s largest Further Education College has adapted its part-time programme with huge success allowing adult learners to continue enhancing their HR knowledge and skills from the comfort of their own homes.
Cheshire College’s CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) programmes transitioned online after the government announcement of College closures in January. However, through engaging and innovative online delivery via remote learning environments the College’s expert tutors have continued to successfully support new and current learners in reaching their goals.
Offering programmes which enable learners to gain CIPD qualifications at Advanced, Intermediate and Foundation levels, Cheshire College has the highest quality rating from the CIPD and their courses help learners to build academic and professional competence along with personal confidence.
One learner commented: “After going to university for three years I really wanted to focus and specialise in HR, which this course has allowed me to do and it has been truly life changing. I have learnt so much and feel like I finally know what I want to do with my career! The classes have helped me so much and the confidence session has boosted my confidence higher than it’s ever been.”
Jacky Lowe, Assistant Director for Business, Science and Computing, said: “I’m delighted we’ve been able to continue supporting learners in achieving their personal and professional goals whilst teaching remotely. Here at Cheshire College we pride ourselves on empowering people to achieve their full potential and it’s been fantastic to hear the feedback from learners about how inspiring they’ve found the courses and the good experience going virtual.
“We have continued to keep learning as interactive as possible with lecturers varying the delivery of sessions and setting up virtual breakout rooms for learners to work within smaller groups to share ideas, which has been well received by all with some even saying the course was the most rewarding and beneficial experience of their life.”
CIPD Advanced Qualifications are ideal for those who are responsible for HR decision making, have a role within an organisation’s HR function, are working as HR consultants or aspire to become Chartered Members of CIPD.
