The Apprenticeship Employer Incentive Programme will be available from 1 August 2021. It will provide support for Employers to recruit apprentices, help provide individuals and employers with the skills needed over the long term and prevent skills shortages.
Don’t miss out!
The Government has recently increased incentive payments for hiring a new apprentice. This support is available for any organisation, so make sure you don’t miss out. Incentive payments for hiring a new apprentice are available for any organisation, no matter the size or the sector. The important thing is that you hire an apprentice who: is new to your organisation and starts their contract of employment and their apprenticeship between 1 August 2020 and 31 March 2021.
Get up to £4,000 for each new apprentice!
Employers will receive £3000 for new apprentices of any age who join their organisation from 1 April 2021 to 30 September 2021. You can spend the payment on anything to support your organisation’s costs, from facilities and travel to uniforms and salaries. This payment is in addition to the £1000 employers receive when they hire an apprentice who is aged 16-18 years, or under 25 years with an education, health and care plan (EHCP) or has been in the care of their local authority.
What are the benefits?
The benefits to hiring an apprentice can be huge. Here are just a handful:
- Keep or develop your competitive advantage
