Head of International

As a mature, post-graduate student, Yvette started her career in education at Leek College in 1995 teaching Sociology. In 1997 she was then promoted to the post of Programme Area Co-ordinator with responsibility for Humanities, including A-Levels and adult programmes. Yvette had responsibility for the Access to Higher Education programme and became an External Verifier and member of the Quality Committee.

Yvette joined South Cheshire College in 2000 as a Sociology/English Literature a Level lecturer. She has since experienced a variety of diverse management roles during her time at South Cheshire College including being the Assistant Director for Humanities, English and ESOL. She is currently the Head of International. She has experience in setting up programmes and hosting groups from countries such as Germany, China, Thailand, Italy, Spain and Kazakhstan. This is an ever-growing provision at the college and she has been involved in creating, delivering parts and managing Erasmus projects.

She has extensive experience as an AQA examiner and is committed to the vision that every student is able to realise their full potential in an excellent teaching and learning inclusive environment regardless of their gender, age, class and ethnicity.
