This course is for anyone who wishes to further their hairdressing training and has completed Hairdressing Level 2. Some of the units will be timetabled on a flexible basis and the hours will be approximately 14 - 16 hours per week. The units of this course are health and safety, promotion of products and services, consultation, finance, creative hairdressing, creative cutting and styling, long hair work, creative colouring and promotional activities.
Five GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above including Maths and English. Level 3 students who do not achieve a grade 4 in English and/or Maths will study a GCSE in the subject(s) as part of their study programme.
From this course you can progress into employment at a hairdresser, or continue on further part-time courses such as barbering. You could also progress onto a degree course in hairdressing or salon management.
