Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles Diploma – Level 2 – IMI


During this course you will learn in real work environments to ensure you’re fully prepared to enter the Automotive Industry. You’ll develop your skills and knowledge of the following: vehicle maintenance and repair, removing and replacing vehicle components, servicing, chassis, electrical systems, engines, transmission and pre and post vehicle inspections.

Four GCSE’s at Grade 3 (D) or above including Maths and English. Level 2 students who do not achieve a grade 4 in English and/or Maths will study a GCSE in the subject(s) as part of their study programme.

The course will give you what you need to go straight into work or move onto a Level 3 course or the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Apprenticeship. In order to be successful on this course you will need to acquire Level 1 Automotive Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair skills first. If you do not have Level 1 skills you’ll be fast-tracked to ensure you gain them.
