A career in care can be rewarding but you need to be dedicated and hard-working. This course will introduce you to various types of care services, including caring for older people, children and those with physical and/or learning disabilities. You’ll develop teamworking skills and practical skills working in appropriate care settings and work with community groups to provide therapeutic activities.
Individual Study Programmes will be discussed at interview to meet individual needs.
By the end of the course you will have completed a portfolio of work, gained experience in real work environments (approximately 50 hours in work placement) and be in a position to choose your future career direction. You will also continue to study English and maths.
