These qualifications cover the intermediate knowledge and understanding of the principles, methods and technology involved in electrical and electronic engineering.
The qualifications share three mandatory units covering engineering principles, techniques and environment awareness. The Certificate requires learners to complete one optional unit, while the Diploma requires three optional units. The course consists of six units:
ETI/001 Environmental Awareness
ETI/002 Engineering Techniques
ETI/003 Engineering Principles
QETI/004 Electrical/Electronic Principles
QETI/023 Electrical Installation
QETI/024 Basic electrical circuit inspection, testing and fault diagnosis
Four GCSE’s at Grade 3 (D) or above including Maths and English. Level 2 students who do not achieve a grade 4 in English and/or Maths will study a GCSE in the subject(s) as part of their study programme.
