This is a 1 year 40 week programme (September-July) provided by the University of Derby and delivered at Cheshire College - South & West at the Crewe Campus.
The course provides an in-depth exploration of education, policy and practice – across all sectors of education. It provides students with the chance to develop higher level academic skills and preparation for further study or work in education related sectors.
All modules will be assessed through written assignments, essays, case studies and independent study.
There is no final examination.
The programme consists of 5 modules directly related to the wider study of education:
· Construction and Corruption
· SEND and the inclusion debate
· Understanding and Managing the Behaviour of Learners
· Education and the Arts, Educational Independent Study
The course requires students to have achieved 240 credits at Level 4 and 5 (e.g. Foundation Degree, in an education related subject area, other level 5 qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.
Final student approval to be admitted to the programme by the University of Derby will be required before beginning the course.
