On this course you will develop a range of practical skills that will to enable you to produce your own media products, as well as developing your research, planning, evaluating and writing skills. During your time with us you will gain a broad introduction into the world of digital media and new technologies within this exciting and fast growing industry. You will research and analyse a diverse range of media and look at how to gain and develop a successful career within the media industry. Using our outstanding professional television and radio studios you will develop skills that will enable you to produce a diverse range of moving image and radio products. The course is designed to provide opportunities for students to understand and analyse the professional practice found in media through practical assignments. Work will include group activities in video and audio production and individual activities through moving image and photography.

Four GCSE’s at Grade 3 (D) or above including Maths and English. Level 2 students who do not achieve a grade 4 in English and/or Maths will study a GCSE in the subject(s) as part of their study programme.
This qualification helps you to go on to higher level qualifications, such as the Level 3 Extended Diploma, or you can go straight into work. It can prepare you for a career in a range of areas such as tv / film production, print, media research, marketing, advertising, photography and radio.
